Shawna Ewing, M.Ed. LPC, CFRS

I am passionate about helping children, teens, and families navigate life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and practical support. With 14 years of experience in public education as a teaching assistant, special education teacher, and school counselor, I bring a collaborative, relationship-centered approach to therapy that values connection as the foundation for growth.

I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral concerns, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My areas of specialization also include supporting children and families navigating divorce, co-parenting, reunification therapy, and high-conflict family dynamics. My goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to build resilience and strengthen their relationships.

I utilize evidence-based and developmentally appropriate approaches tailored to each client's unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed interventions, Child-Parent Psychotherapy principles, play therapy techniques, and parent coaching. I believe meaningful change happens through strong therapeutic relationships, collaboration with caregivers, and helping clients discover the strengths they already possess.

Whether I am supporting a young child learning to navigate big emotions, a teen facing life's challenges, or a family working to rebuild trust and connection, my hope is that every client leaves feeling heard, valued, and equipped with practical tools that foster lasting growth.
